Paso Robles Wine Country
One of the most diverse grape-growing regions on earth, the Paso Robles Wine Country is home to more 26,000 acres of wine grapes, 40 different varietals and 170 wineries. Whether you’re a fine wine connoisseur or just starting to acquire a taste, you’re sure to find plenty to please your palette in Paso Robles.
Anything but stuffy, the Paso Robles Wine Country offers a fun, casual, relaxed vinicultural experience. There are more than 100 tasting rooms open to the public, each with their own individual character and stellar portfolio of wines awaiting. The wineries join together several times during the year to offer tastings and educational events to the public.
The third weekend in March brings the Paso Robles Zinfadel festival. The Paso Robles Wine Festival--the largest outdoor wine tasting in California--takes place every third weekend in May. Also in May is Hospice du Rhône, which brings wineries from around the world to the largest Rhône wine celebration anywhere. Harvest time brings the annual Harvest Wine Tour each third weekend in October.
